Facts: He moved to Texas as a child about 1885 with his parents.  He was a postmaster in Lamar County.  He shot off his left hand with a shotgun he had leaned against a roof support post outside a general store.  On coming out of the store he put his hand up above the gun and was talking with some people when the gun fired.

Facts:  He served in WWII.  He was a cabinet & trim carpenter in Dallas, Texas.  He was a true craftsman, his work can still be seen in a lot of the finer homes in Highland Park a suburb of Dallas

Facts:  She married her cousin.  She and Samuel Jefferson Jumper I moved to Texas together with some of her brothers about 1885 and settled close to Wolfe City.  Sam died a few years later on November 8, 1890.  She is shown here with the wife, children and grandchildren of her deceased son Samuel Jefferson Jumper II
