| Facts: He was only three years when his father died. By 1850 he had married and was living in Jackson County AL. After he died his wife moved to Arkansas to be with her family, but her son Fleming wanted to be a minister so she moved on to Cuthand (Red River) Texas. She had learned of the McKinzie College a Methodist School. |

He ran away from home at 12 and surported himself. He built his wife a fine two story house just as you come into Paris Texas. |
